Juliette is a Monroe County
community colorfully sprinkled with a historic gristmill, whistle-blowing
trains, antique shops, gift shops and great Southern cookin' at the world famous
Whistle Stop Café - home of fried green tomatoes and the site chosen to film the
hit movie of the same name.
Georgia's Antique Trail includes
much of Monroe County. Upon visiting Bolingbroke, Forsyth and Juliette you'll
enter a world of exciting discoveries, including American, English and French
period furniture, antique jewelry, silver, glassware and a variety of
collectibles. In addition, there are also modern shopping centers located in
Forsyth.
The retail climate of Monroe County
is quite favorable. The county has been ranked among the ten counties in the
state with the highest percentage of growth in taxable sales. Current major area
